If you’ve been feeling anxious, depressed, alone, angry, or overwhelmed, it may be affecting you in your personal or professional life. Perhaps it feels like something is just off, or just you aren’t feeling as good as you’d like. Problems like these can be difficult to pin-point. Can you relate to any of these: feeling low, loss of interest, lack of energy, less self-confidence, a sense of guilt, difficulty concentrating, restlessness, trouble sleeping, or changes in appetite? Perhaps it would just be nice to get to the bottom of things so you can feel less disconnected, less alone, or less on edge.
What you can expect in working with me:
My clients see growth happen at different paces. I believe it is important to keep an end-goal in mind with milestones along the way, however progression is different for everyone. The journey of healing or change may begin here and continue on once certain groundwork is in place. I facilitate the process, support you, and keep us on track along the way.
My qualifications:
In addition to my Masters degree in counselling, I have also achieved training in Emotionally-Focused Therapy for individuals and couples (EFT) and The Gottman Method Couples Therapy (L1). I have also more recently completed the NeuroChange Professional Certification Program which draws on emerging therapies such as Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) and Attachment-based therapy as well as experiential therapies such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP).
The types of issues I work with:
I work with clients who are interested in seeing change in their lives and/or are feeling low, a loss of interest, a lack of energy, less self-confidence, a sense of guilt, difficulty concentrating, restlessness, trouble sleeping, or changes in their appetite. I also work with clients who are experiencing a sense of loss, grief, strong anger, depression, anxiety, and/or relationship challenges.
The types of therapy I use:
I draw upon findings from psychology, executive coaching, neuroscience, and theology to provide an approach tailored to you. The brain changes in the context of relationships; applying this knowledge is where I specialize. With my guidance, you won't just adopt new behaviours or perspectives, you'll experience a shift, empowering you to overcome challenges and experience real change you can feel.
How you can get started:
Maybe you'd like to begin working on some things, but aren't sure where to start. Everyone needs a safe place to share, to process, and to seek healing. I welcome you to contact me to let me know a bit about you or what you're needing help with. I'd love to connect with you.

In life, we all need a safe place where we can speak out the things that are heaviest on our hearts. Whether we are grappling with pain from the past or present, fears for the future or difficult life questions, we all need a space where we can come as we truly are. I hope to provide that space for you in whatever it is you are going through.
When you meet with me, I will take the time to get to know you and the history that has shaped the unique person you are. I believe our background, thoughts, emotions, and bodily experiences are all important parts of how we experience and make sense of stressors in our lives. Together, we will examine these elements of your experience and explore new insights they may reveal. Within the counselling room, I provide a space for you to process difficult experiences so that you don't have to do it alone. We'll address the impact of painful experiences and work together to restore a sense of resilience and hope.
A big part of what led me to go into counselling was experiencing how powerful it can be when someone comes alongside you and listens long enough and carefully enough to deeply understand. I believe it is that foundation of strong understanding that allows the counsellor and client to work towards meaningful and lasting progress together. There may be times when we cannot change our difficult circumstances, but it is possible to get to a better place of healing and strength in the face of those circumstances.
Outside of the counselling room, I enjoy going for walks in the river valley, chats over coffee with friends, dabbling in painting, taking too many books out of the library, and getting sucked into a good series!

Taking the first step into therapy can be difficult. Sometimes you don’t know exactly what’s wrong—just that something doesn’t feel quite right. Other times, there’s a fear that therapy will bring out everything that’s “wrong” with you. My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and collaboration. I’m here to support you—not to fix you, and to walk with you as you figure things out.
My focus is on helping you identify what truly matters to you and find meaningful, workable ways to handle stress, uncertainty, or transition. Whether you're facing a specific issue or simply feeling overwhelmed, I offer a space where you can explore your experiences without pressure or judgment. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s about finding workable solutions that allow you to live the life you want to have and focus on what is most important, even when life is challenging.
In my work with couples, I support partners in improving communication, working through unresolved conflicts, processing past hurts and resentments, and getting unstuck from patterns that work against your relationship flourishing. I believe a strong relationship is built not only on problem-solving, but also on nurturing friendship and intimacy. Together, we focus on developing the tools and understanding needed to navigate life as a team—so that over time, you feel more confident, connected, and self-sufficient in your relationship.
If you're wondering whether we might be a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute consultation. It’s a chance to connect, ask questions, and see what working together could look like.
